Robin Roberts and Warren Spahn

What advice would you give aspiring young athletes?
Work hard and be a mentor for others.

Other than your first Major League Game, what was your most memorable game?
I would have to say a game against the St. Louis Cardinals in which I tagged up on a fly ball to center and scored from second base. That has not been done very often.

Did you ever aspire to manage in the Majors?
No way!

What is your gratest achievement outside of baseball?
Several come to mind. It was great to be a part of teams that won back-to-back high school basketball championships in Indiana and to play in the finals of the NIT for the University of Toledo. (In 1941, his older brother William was a teammate of his on the Washington, Indiana high school championship team.) I am proud to have been given special honors in three different major league parks: Crosley Field, Riverfront Stadium (CINergy Field), and The Great American Ball Park. That is particularly special for someone like me, who did not earn "superstar" status.

What would you like to be remembered for?
Most importantly, I would most like to be remembered simply as a good person.
